Here’s a quick shot from Sunday’s engagement shoot. Hugh was my lovely assistant for the day, and he also snapped a few phone photos of me taking pictures of the happy couple. The image on the left is me taking a photo, and then the image on the right is the photo I was taking at that exact time. Kinda cool, right?
Kate and Tyler are some of the most awesometastic people we’ve met; I can’t wait to edit the rest of their photos.
I’ve been meaning to write about Libby and Carlo’s wedding for some time now. They were married this past August, and I’ve found that there’s so much I want to write about how amazing their day was, that I just can’t do them justice. So for now, here are a few of my favorite black and white images from their big day. More to come soon; I promise!

A few years ago, I was lucky enough to meet Mindy through a local career fair program, and since then, we’ve become great friends. I’ve photographed her family, as well as her cousin’s wedding, so when Mindy asked Hugh and I to be part of her New Year’s Eve wedding, we were completely psyched to have another opportunity to work with her and her wonderful fiance’, Sam!
This wedding had some amazing details. Mindy worked with wedding coordinator, Jody Cox of An Affair To Remember, to create a modern vintage look that was beautiful and classy. I love, love, love the moss table numbers and the teacup cake topper. They also had a great DJ crew from Livewire DJ Services, who did a great job and had an awesome lighting setup (with a fog machine!!!). It was a beautiful day, and Hugh and I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to spend our NYE with.

Hugh and I have known Alison since our days at Millikin. Alison was an art major, just like us, and her brother and his wife were part of our graduating class, and great friends, too! We were sooooo excited when Alison told us she was engaged to Nick, and we were even more excited when she asked us to be a part of her special day. We took their engagement photos a few months ago, and their wedding is today. I can’t wait to report back on how awesome this day is going to be! Congrats Alison and Nick!!!

This summer has been packed with photo sessions, and one of my favorites was photographing Laura. If you’ve never met Laura, you should! She is awesome, energetic, and completely genuine. I loved working with her on her senior portrait session. We had a great time exploring new locations together, and finding some really cool backdrops for her session.
